Saad steps up to counsel role

Vinson & Elkins (V&E) LLP announced the promotion of corporate attorney ZIAD SAAD to counsel, strengthening the firm’s Middle East practice. Saad, who splits his time between the UAE and Saudi Arabia, works extensively in all areas of corporate and international capital markets. 

Saad has broad-based international corporate experience throughout the Middle East and Europe, advising corporate, private equity and financial institution clients on various domestic and cross-border acquisitions (both buy-side and sell-side, including in auction) and joint ventures in a wide range of industries, including ongoing corporate and securities law matters. Among his recent transactions, he advised on a multi-billion dollar petrochemical joint venture in Saudi Arabia and its energy-related projects, and represented an aviation corporate group, based in the Middle East region in connection with a series of acquisition transactions of aviation-related companies in the region. 

Prior to joining V&E in 2010, Saad was a senior associate in the London and Dubai offices of Ashurst LLP. He has also previously practiced as an associate in the Paris office of Shearman & Sterling LLP.
