SNR Denton’s latest hire
Ahmed Choudhry is the recent addition to SNR Denton’s Muscat office and joined the Banking and Finance team as an associate in February 2013.
His experience includes acting for banks, financial institutions and companies on all aspects of banking, corporate funding and security issues. He has a particular interest in Islamic finance, especially following its recent introduction in Oman.
Choudhry graduated from Keele University in the UK with a First Class LLB (Hons) Law with Economics. He then went on to complete his Postgraduate Diploma in Legal Practice at the University of Sheffield achieving a distinction. He was trained and qualified at Gordons LLP in Leeds, UK
He is also a member of the Law Society of England and Wales and has previously acted as an advisor to the Solicitors Regulation Authority, the regulator of solicitors in England and Wales.

Since joining the Muscat office, Choudhary has advised clients on the laws regulating marketing securities in Oman, undertaken a review of a suite of facilities for an international shipping client and advised on the USD30 million acquisition of bonds issued in Oman.
