New hires at Middle East firms

New partner appointments and promotions at the Middle East offices of Al Tamimi & Company and Walkers.

 Al Tamimi & Company has appointed four lawyers to its partnership, across four separate offices in the Middle East. Samer Al Zuriekat (Litigation, Jordan), Ahmed Jaafir (Corporate Structuring, Qatar), Tarek Shrayh (Litigation, Dubai), and Andrea Tithecott (Corporate Commercial, Abu Dhabi) officially joined the partnership on July 1, 2016.The appointments of the new partners will bring the total up to 57 partners, across the 9 countries and 16 offices through which the firm operates.

Further, Walkers has announced the appointment of 13 new partners across the global group. The promotions focus on Walkers’ core practice areas of Finance & Corporate, Investment Funds and Insolvency & Dispute Resolution, and occur in six of Walkers’ offices; partners added in Asia, the Caribbean, Europe and the Middle East. Ciaran Bohnacker in Dubai is promoted to partner in the Finance and Corporate Group. Tom Cochrane is promoted to senior counsel in the Investment Funds Group.
