TLA advises on sale of FMSI Group to Shorooq and co‑investors

Tribonian Law Advisors (“TLA”) has advised the founder of FMSI Group, Wasim Mourad, on the sale of FMSI Group to a group of investors led by Shorooq, the leading regional multi-strategy investment firm engineered around technology, together with co-investors including Emirates Growth Fund.

Following completion, Shorooq and Emirates Growth Fund will take active roles alongside FMSI’s founder and management team, contributing governance, sector expertise and operational support as the group pursues further expansion.

FMSI Group is one of the region’s leading providers of fleet management technology. Founded in 2003, the business has spent more than two decades developing technology that supports the safety, compliance and efficiency of the region’s vehicle fleets, with operations in the UAE, Oman and KSA.

Commenting on the transaction, Carlo Pianese, partner at TLA, said, “The transaction involved a complex multi-jurisdictional structure, requiring careful navigation of the legal landscape across multiple markets. Our team demonstrated the depth of cross-border expertise required to manage these complexities and ensure that our client’s interests were fully protected throughout the process.”
