Trowers & Hamlins expands its Oman banking team

International law firm Trowers & Hamlins has appointed Islamic finance expert RIZA ISMAIL as a senior associate in the Banking and Finance department of its Oman office. The department’s expansion comes in response to the increasing demand for Islamic finance expertise in the sultanate and signals Trowers & Hamlins’ intention to remain a leading player in Oman’s banking sector. 

Riza joins the firm from the Kuwait office of Al Tamimi & Co., where she was recommended as an ‘Associate to Watch’ in the areas of Banking & Finance and Privatisation & Project Finance by Legal 500 in 2012. She has 10 years of solid experience in Islamic finance, project finance, securities transactions, Sukuk issuances, PPPs and the establishment of investment funds.
