Trowers & Hamlins makes up corporate partner in Oman

Trowers & Hamlins has promoted managing associate KATE MARSHALL to partner, effective from 1 October 2013. Marshall is a corporate lawyer in the firm’s Oman office, which she joined in 2008 from Deacons (now Norton Rose Fulbright) in Australia.

Marshall specialises in corporate matters ranging from fundraisings, mergers and acquisitions, and joint ventures to supply and distribution agreements and corporate governance. She acts for both public and private companies across a broad range of industries including telecommunications, IT, FMCG, manufacturing and property development. In Oman, she has been involved in many high profile projects, including the formation and initial public offering (IPO) of Oman’s first Islamic bank and Ghubrah independent water project, the largest project of this type in Oman.

Majid Al Toky, resident managing partner in Oman, commented, “It gives me great pleasure to welcome Kate to the partnership. Her reputation and experience in Oman and the Middle East mean she is a valuable asset to the firm. Kate’s promotion is well deserved and provides further support to meeting the needs of our clients.”
