UNITED ARAB EMIRATES – Corporate Counsel Middle East Awards 2013 announced in Dubai

THE Corporate Counsel Middle East Group (CCME), the largest group for in house legal counsel in the Middle East, has announced that the second Corporate Counsel Middle East Awards 2013 will take place in Dubai on Thursday 16th May at The Westin Dubai Mina Seyahi

Jointly hosted by Legal Week, one of the leading UK legal weekly magazine and the Corporate Counsel Middle East Group, the Awards will celebrate legal excellence in the Middle East. They are open to in-house legal teams and law firms operating throughout the region. Categories include general counsel of the year, legal department of the year (large team and small team categories), legal counsel of the year, legal team of the year and law firm of the year, while new categories for 2013 include the in-house innovation award and CSR initiative of the year and for law firms the Law Firm Innovation Award and CSR Initiative of the Year. 

There are also a series of sector-based awards to celebrate the achievements of law firm teams working across the Middle East. The 2013 Awards follow on the tremendous success of last year’s inaugural event, which attracted 300 guests, with over 50 entrants for 13 Awards categories. 

The evening will be hosted by Elias Hayek, president of the Corporate Counsel Middle East Group and vice president, legal, EAME division, Starwood Hotels and Resorts Worldwide who commented, “Following the success of the 2012 Awards, we hope to attract more than 400 guests this year to the leading Awards ceremony in the Middle East legal calendar, with additional award categories for 2013 covering Corporate & Social Responsibility and Innovation for both in house and private practice lawyers.”
