UNITED ARAB EMIRATES – Dubai Economic Council and Pinsent Masons sign MoU

THE Dubai Economic Council (DEC) and international law firm Pinsent Masons (PM) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) outlining the terms of the strategic partnership in areas of collaboration. 

The signing ceremony which took place at DEC headquarters included exchange and cooperation in execution of research studies, exchange of data and expertise in mutual areas of interest. 

The Dubai Economic Council’s team was headed by Hani Al Hamli, secretary general of DEC. The DEC delegation included Mr. Tarek ALHajjiri, director of legal policy, and Dr. Ibrahim Elbadawi, director of macroeconomics & forecasting as well as members of the Corporate Social Responsibility team.The delegation from Pinsent Masons was led by Sachin Kerur, partner and Head of Gulf Region, Dalia Nagati, solicitor and Mays Jubair ,trainee solicitor at Pinsent Masons. 

Al Hamli stressed the vital role the private sector plays in shaping the future of a sustainable economy through providing international best practices and services. He also emphasized that the MOU signing is only the beginning of a two-way collaboration between DEC and PM. 

The MOU was signed in good faith with the desire to strengthen collaborative efforts towards the achievement of mutual goals and the objectives set towards achieving them. 

Sachin Kerur said, “We consider this strategic partnership to be a vital artery through which ideas and innovations can pass between our two organisations. To have the opportunity of partnering with an organisation so esteemed as the DEC is an absolute privilege.”
