Vinson & Elkins expands corporate practice

Vinson & Elkins announced  that it has hired Bader Thabti as counsel in the energy transactions and projects group of the corporate team in London.

Thabti’s practice focuses on the development, structuring, financing and restructuring of complex natural resources, mining, power and infrastructure projects globally. He also has significant experience advising on the acquisition, disposal and trading of a broad range of energy and infrastructure assets and commodities.

Thabti joins the firm from Milbank. His arrival follows the news of the London office’s recent additions of energy, infrastructure and finance transactions partners Chris Taufatofua and Kilian de Cintré, who joined the firm from Milbank at the end of last year.

Thabti received his law degree from the University of Kent and his LPC from the University of Law.
