XXIV Old Buildings appoints Ian Moyler as new chambers director
XXIV Old Buildings, the Chambers of Alan Steinfeld QC, has appointed Ian Moyler as its new chambers director. His appointment follows the retirement of Sue Medder in August 2019.
Along with the existing excellent team, led by Paul Horsfield on an interim basis since Sue Medder’s retirement, Ian Moyler will continue Sue Medder’s outstanding work and seek to grow and enhance the set’s reputation in chancery and commercial litigation, both domestically and internationally. Ian Moyler will commence work in December 2019.
Ian Moyler commented, “I had been aware of and admired the successes of XXIV Old Buildings in my previous role. It is a fantastic set of Chambers with high quality practitioners who are ambitious for even greater success. I look forward to being part of this.”
Head of chambers Alan Steinfeld QC commented,“ We are thrilled that Ian is joining us. He has decades of experience in leading the clerking team at one of the Bar’s most prominent sets of chambers. XXIV Old Buildings looks forward to making the most of his talent and expertise to consolidate and improve yet further our reputation in both our existing and emerging areas of expertise.”
Ian Moyler’s appointment follows a week of great success for XXIV Old Buildings. At the Chambers’ Bar Awards on October 31, 2019 it was named “Chancery Set of the Year”, Bajul Shah was named “Chancery Junior of the Year”, and Head of Chambers, Alan Steinfeld QC, was recognised with a lifetime achievement award.
