Double promotion at Rouse

IP firm Rouse announced the promotion of two new executives in the firm’s Ho Chi Minh City and Dubai offices.

The promotions, which take effect immediately, cement Rouse’ established pan-Asian and Middle Eastern presence, further strengthening the firm’s reputation as the leading provider of IP services in global and emerging markets. The two promotions take Rouse’ total number of executives globally to 35.

the-oath-october-2016-y-9971-2Yen Vu, previously a senior associate at Rouse Legal in Ho Chi Minh City, becomes Rouse’ first executive in Vietnam. A fully-qualified lawyer with international experience, she is also a registered IP Agent before the National Office of Intellectual Property of Vietnam.

A specialist in Vietnamese contentious intellectual property matters, Vu joined Rouse in September 2014, bringing a wealth of experience in litigation and enforcement of IP rights; copyright, trade mark, patent and domain name disputes; media and entertainment law and commercial IP. A published author, she co-wrote International Copyright Law, issued by Globe Law and Business in May 2013.

El Turk heads Rouse’s enforcement practice in MENA and has extensive experience in a wide range of intellectual property related work, with a considerable experience in enforcement and complex IP litigation.

A fully-qualified Lebanese Lawyer and a registered Legal Consultant with the Legal Affairs Department of the Government of Dubai, El Turk is based in Rouse’s Middle East and North Africa (MENA) practice operating from Dubai. With significant experience in managing the IP portfolios for a number of multinational entities across the Middle East and North Africa and regional brand-owners worldwide, heis also a skilled adviser on potential legal and cultural risks associated with Arabic language marketing and advertising throughout MENA.
